The fine print

These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern the provision of BBQ cleaning services ("Services") by GrillFresh BBQ Cleaning ("GrillFresh", "we", "us", "our") to any person who books a Service through our website ("Customer", "you", "your"). By making a booking and completing payment, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
1.1"Booking" means a request for the Service for a preferred day and time, made and paid for through our website, which becomes confirmed under clause 2.1.
1.2"Service" means the BBQ cleaning service selected by the Customer at the time of Booking.
1.3"Slot" means the scheduled date and time window allocated to the Booking.
2.1A Booking is confirmed only once full payment has been received through our website and GrillFresh has confirmed the Slot to the Customer by text message or email. The day and time of day chosen at checkout is a preference only.
2.2The Customer may cancel or reschedule a Booking free of charge, with a full refund, provided this is done more than 24 hours before the start of the Slot.
2.3Cancellations made within 24 hours of the Slot are non-refundable. This notice period does not allow us to reallocate the Slot to another Booking. Customers seeking to reschedule rather than cancel within this window may contact us, and we will accommodate this where reasonably possible.
2.4A no-show, or denied access under clause 3, is treated as a cancellation under clause 2.3 and is non-refundable.
2.5Where GrillFresh needs to reschedule a Booking — including due to severe weather, illness, or vehicle issues — the Customer will be offered, at their election, a full refund or the next available Slot. GrillFresh will provide as much notice of this as reasonably possible.
2.6If GrillFresh cannot offer a Slot that suits the Customer, the Customer will be offered an alternative Slot or a full refund, at their election.
2.7Online Bookings are available for addresses in the suburbs listed on the GrillFresh website. If the Customer's address is outside these suburbs, GrillFresh may decline the Booking and the Customer will receive a full refund.
3.1The Customer is responsible for providing safe and reasonable access to the BBQ at the agreed Slot.
3.2The Customer must provide access to an outdoor tap with a hose connection and a working power outlet.
3.3The Customer must ensure pets are secured and the area surrounding the BBQ is clear of obstructions prior to the Slot.
3.4Where the BBQ is inaccessible, access is denied, or the water or power required under clause 3.2 is unavailable, on arrival, this is treated as a cancellation under clause 2.4 and is non-refundable.
4.1Prior to commencing work, GrillFresh will photograph the condition of the BBQ, including any pre-existing damage, rust, cracks, or wear.
4.2GrillFresh will restore the BBQ to its best achievable condition. The achievable result depends on the age, materials, and existing wear of the BBQ. Older units, or those with significant rust, corrosion, or worn components, will show significant improvement but may not be restored to an as-new appearance. Where GrillFresh expects visible wear (including rust, staining, scratching, or faded coatings) to remain following the Service, this will be communicated to the Customer prior to commencing work.
4.3GrillFresh is not responsible for pre-existing damage, general wear and tear, or the failure of any component that was already compromised prior to the Service, including but not limited to brittle hoses, corroded fittings, and failing igniters.
5.1Before the Slot, the Customer must turn off the gas supply and disconnect it from the BBQ: for LPG, by detaching the gas bottle; for natural gas, by turning the supply off at the isolation valve. The gas supply must remain disconnected while GrillFresh is on site.
5.2GrillFresh does not connect, reconnect, test, repair or adjust any gas supply, bottle, hose, regulator, valve or fitting. The Customer is responsible for reconnecting the gas after the Service and for checking all connections for leaks before use.
5.3As part of the Service, GrillFresh may remove and refit burners, burner tubes and other removable cooking components. After the Service the Customer should check that the BBQ lights and burns normally before cooking on it.
5.4Where GrillFresh notices visible damage, corrosion, or an obvious fault in a gas component, this will be brought to the Customer's attention. The assessment and certification of gas safety is outside the scope of the Service, and GrillFresh recommends an annual inspection by a licensed gasfitter.
5.5GrillFresh accepts no responsibility for gas systems, fittings, or components, including their reconnection, performance or failure.
6.1GrillFresh will take reasonable care of the Customer's property at all times while providing the Service.
6.2GrillFresh's liability for any loss or damage arising from the Service is limited to the value of the Service provided, except where such loss or damage arises from GrillFresh's negligence, in which case GrillFresh will act in good faith to remedy the matter by repair or fair compensation.
6.3GrillFresh is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including but not limited to a cancelled event, food spoilage, or loss of use of the BBQ, arising from delays, rescheduling, or matters unrelated to the Service.
6.4Customers with high-value, built-in, or integrated outdoor-kitchen BBQ units must notify GrillFresh in advance of Booking. GrillFresh reserves the right to decline such Bookings at its discretion.
7.1Full payment is required at the time of Booking and is processed securely through our website.
7.2A Booking is not confirmed until payment has been received in full and the Slot has been confirmed under clause 2.1.
8.1Where a Customer is not satisfied with any aspect of the Service, they must notify GrillFresh within 24 hours of completion. GrillFresh will return to remedy the matter at no additional charge.
9.1GrillFresh uses food-safe degreasers and cleaning products suitable for cooking surfaces. Customers with a specific sensitivity or product preference should advise GrillFresh prior to the Slot.
10.1GrillFresh manages and disposes of grease, ash, and cleaning run-off responsibly and in accordance with good environmental practice, and avoids discharging waste into stormwater drains.
11.1If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
11.2These Terms constitute the entire agreement between GrillFresh and the Customer in respect of the Service and supersede any prior understanding or representation.
11.3These Terms are governed by the laws of New Zealand.
By completing a Booking and payment through our website, the Customer acknowledges having read, understood, and agreed to these Terms and Conditions.
